The outside rim of the bowl is decorated with the compassion mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, in Tibetan script. This mantra invokes the powerful benevolent attention and blessings of Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. It is also featured in beautifully detailed lotus petals on the inside of the bowl.
Handcrafted in Kathmandu, this collection has been hammered, polished, and etched entirely by hand. Once the bowls are crafted, a traditional Tibetan thangka painter etches the designs into each bowl.
